PST: Art & Science Family Festival with Low Leaf

  • Getty Museum Central Garden 1200 Getty Center Drive Los Angeles, CA, 90049 United States (map)

Pique your curiosities at this all day interactive family festival celebrating Gettyโ€™s PST: Art & Science Collide ๐ŸŽจ ๐Ÿงฌ

See how light can dazzle and delight by making your very own suncatcher and creating images with the power of the those solar rays! Explore medieval notions of the cosmos by creating your own piece of wearable art based on your astrological sign! Imagine the view of Earth from outer space with a huge interactive globe where you can add elements to improve our world! Bring your friends, family, cruise through solo, or kick it wth a stranger that you met on the bus along the way - there is absolutely something for every curious mind in store (and some epic exhibitions).

As part of this beautiful family festival, CARS and dublab have invited us to set up our solar powered production equipment and curate two afternoons of environmental splendor with our friends. Weโ€™re joined this afternoon by the one and only Low Leaf with performances at 12:30p & 2:45p. Bring a blanket, a picnic, a book, and feel the earth breathe if you know what we mean. Before, between, and afterwards weโ€™ll be playing some of our favorite selects from the canon of environmental music as well as casually and sporadically sharing flute sounds on the lawn.

Low Leaf is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer and producer that combines an array of genres, ever-expanding in a spectrum of its own.

Exploring sound healing and plant consciousness as a part of her spiritual practice has greatly influenced her approach to music, painting, and more recently film making.

In a world of illusion she insists on using her creative gifts as an instrument of truth, love, and liberation. Her ability to challenge conventions and push the boundaries of artistic expression leaves a lasting impact on those who experience her work.
