MUTUAL AID
& DISASTER RELIEF

“At our best, social movements create vibrant social networks in which we not only do work in a group, but also have friendships, make art, mentor and parent kids, feed ourselves and each other, build radical land and housing experiments, and inspire each other about how we can cultivate liberation in all aspects of our lives. Activism and mutual aid shouldn’t feel like volunteering or like a hobby—it should feel like living in alignment with our hopes for the world and with our passions. It should enliven us.”
- Dean Spade, Mutual Aid: Building Solidarity During This Crisis (And The Next)

This is a page to begin documenting the direct + mutual aid efforts for our immediate communities & ways to support relief efforts hyperlocally. Please check in with your friends, help where you can, and we’ll see you out there. Our fire recovery list is primarily local artists & ecologists, and in addition we ask that you donate towards + share these docs that prioritize material support for displaced Black families and displaced Latino families of the LA fires. There’s also a list of individual fundraisers for everyone at Zorthian Ranch.

For far more comprehensive information on local resources, we recommend Mutual Aid LA’s Fire & Wind Storm Resources Doc & the LA Fire Mutual Aid Resources site. We also ask that you sign this petition for Immediate Action to Address Firestorm Catastrophes in Los Angeles County - authored by Metabolic Studio, Patrice Cullors and Anawakalmekak - demanding immediate and long-term change as well as the creation of a city plan that prioritizes Indigenous-centered Traditional Ecological Knowledge.

Thank you to everyone on the ground, helping with admin, making donation runs, collecting tools, sharing seeds, organizing benefit concerts & compilations, and showing love for one another. Whether it’s ICE raids, supporting one another through climate catastrophe, tenants rights, queer liberation, Indigenous sovereignty, or food distribution for our unhoused neighbors, we are all we have.
