where nature and community thrive

A hub for community conservation

For 20+ years the Audubon Center at Debs Park has been a beacon for how conservation organizations can work within our cities to cultivate a deeper relationship between people and place. Through monthly hikes, restoration days, bird walks, field trips, movie nights, community festivals, and hosting gatherings like ours each and every month, the Audubon Center at Debs Park has played an essential role in building a more diverse and inclusive conservation movement here in Los Angeles.

We’re so grateful for the many beings of the Audubon Center, the advocacy that they champion in dialogue with local culture and native ecology, and it is an absolute honor to be here nearly every month of the year to love on live music whether we’re underneath a majestic Peruvian peppercorn tree or in the courtyard surrounded by toyon, wild grape, sages, and sycamore trees.

Tap into their bird walks, restoration days, test plot, and the many offerings that they provide to our city. They’re also home to Los Nogales Native Plant Nursery, a collaboration with the Theodore Payne Foundation, and were one of the first solar powered buildings in LA. We can keep going, so let’s leave it here for now, and we’ll see you on the trails.
