Friends! Join us within the reimagined LA Equestrian Center as we step inside of a monumental work of art that merges mythic pageantry, cutting-edge technology, and breathtaking performance.
In an era defined by disconnection and cultural upheaval, The Cortège offers a rare shared space for solace, celebration, and renewal. Amid a rapidly expiring culture and scarcity of shared meaning, this gathering serves as a container for collective and individual grief. Via ceremonious procession, The Cortège mourns the fate of the modern era, invites a reckoning with the New Gods of Perplexity, and shepherds souls toward what lies beyond the veil.
Living Earth is honored to co-present four nights of improvisatory and ecstatic live performance in the Beyond, the trail marker for the completion of your night’s journey, a sacred container for release and reintegration where the emotional catharsis of the procession finds resolution. On Opening Night we are blessed with Carlos Niño & Friends as they explore themes of eternal life, death and transition with guidance and presence from the legendary Luis Pérez Ixoneztli. Together, we seek to alchemize grief into sacred connection, transforming individual sorrow into collective healing.

Carlos Niño - "the Spiritual Force Behind LA's Eclectic Music Scene" (NY Times) - is curating a special ensemble for The Cortège dedicated to themes of eternal life, death and transformation.
A prolific producer of over 150 albums, including André 3000's New Blue Sun, Niño seeks to showcase a unique performance from Mexican composer / multi-Instrumentalist Luis Pérez Ixoneztli, who has spent over 50 years researching and preserving ancient Mesoamerican musical instruments and indigenous Mexican traditions.
Ixoneztli will play from his collection of wind and percussion artifacts and personal recreations to weave mythology, vision, and spiritual traditions into The Cortège's fabric, approaching what Niño has referred to as “Going Home” - that energy of transition that he dedicated to an album in 2017.
