Bob Baker Day | Dustin Wong, Detroit Princess, Logan Hone, T-Kay

  • LA State Historic Park 1245 North Spring Street Los Angeles, CA, 90012 United States (map)

What an honor!! Join us for all day festivities, puppet shows, games, and more at the 10th Annual Bob Baker Day where we’ll celebrate Bob Baker’s 100th Birthday and the iconic Bob Baker Marionette Theater’s 60th Anniversary.

For this year’s Bob Baker Day, one of LA’s most absurd and beautiful annual gatherings, we’ve been tasked with co-producing a brand new stage in honor of BBMT’s Hooray LA show. There will be an ecovillage featuring some of the finest stewards of Los Angeles, alongside music, featuring performances from friends of ours like Dustin Wong, Logan Hone, and vinyl DJ sets from T-Kay and Detroit Princess.

Don’t forget to RSVP with the BBMT, you can find the entire day’s schedule here, and we’ll see you under the big top 🎪

Camille Langston is Detroit Princess, a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition, trained Medium, Tarot Reader, certified Akashic Records practitioner, Breathwork Practitioner, and musician + DJ!! Her work is deeply rooted in Ancestral practices as well as over a decade of studying the inner workings of the mind-body-soul system both scientifically and mystically. She deeply believes that you are your own greatest healer, and she is honored to assist those in need on their inner and outer quests.

Logan Hone's performances have been described as "crazy positive" and "effervescent". He is best known for his magnetic joy, effortless musical flow, and fantastic dance moves while performing on saxophone and flute.

He is a Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist musician, educator, and all around music lover who has also directed an all-ages, all-skill-levels Community Band at Hermon Park since 2018.

Dustin Wong is a being of unprecedented compassion and creativity. His nearly two-decade-long career is prolifically marked by an unwavering commitment to challenging himself and his collaborators, and whether recording with Ecstatic Sunshine, Ponytail, Takako Minekawa, or in his solo practice, he has consistently produced some of the most dynamic, vibrant, architectural, and beloved soundscapes of the past twenty years.

As an archivist/librarian and resident Dublab DJ, T-Kay brings an eye and ear for the historic, unique, and transnational to her musical curation. Her world is a celebration of sounds, and struggles of everyday life across linguistic and geographic boundaries gathered through serendipitous findings from around the world.
