Gregory Uhlmann’s Extra Stars album listening session at Angels Point
Through the good, the bad and the ugly, there’s always Frank Hurricane.
Described in this epic article as a “DIY hero and mystical troubadour of the American underbelly,” our holy (now Emmy-nominated) friend Frank Hurricane has long endured as one of the great contemporary storytellers of American music. It’s quite possible that no one else has toured this country with such consistency and depth, and in live performances his songs blur into stories which lead back into songs illuminating a great tapestry of conversations, observations, insight, and relationships as only Frank’s spirit can convey.
You might run into him barefoot on the Appalachian Trail, playing to a packed living room or bookstore just about anywhere in America, or maybe even working the counter of your favorite pizza joint (if he’s not out hyping them). He’s a psychedelic trip through and through and if this is the first time that you’re surfing the waves that Frank’s making then we highly encourage you to pull up a blanket and sit with us this Sunday evening. It’s rare that he makes it this far west and we’re simply blessed to go in this eve… life’s a spiritual trip and we love walking the mystical stepping stones together.
Sweet beings Iji and Tara Zorthian set the tone for the eve with two short acoustic sets.
there is very limited parking alongside angels point. pls carpool or cruise thru early to park on academy rd and hike the short trail or find a spot in this parking lot a 10ish min walk away (also where the closest restroom is).
