Endless gratitude for our art angel Zevvy Smith-Danford for not only creating our Living Earth
logo, but for chatting through fonts and developing the template from which we make all of our posters.
Through all of our graphics we’ve featured dozens of Californian and Palestinian native
plants and animals. Inspired by kindred spirits Earth Liberation Front, Earth First!,
Whole Earth Catalog, Crass, Emory Douglas, ACT UP, Black Mask, and decades of diy show
posters & zine distros, we love a straightforward design to share our love for art, environment,
and interdependent grassroots movements.
This is simply a gallery page to archive and share each unique moment together.
Our first handful of posters were made by Zevvy, and since June of 2024 almost all have
been made by Noah Klein and Massima Bell.
Previous to April of 2024 we curated, coordinated, and presented more than 500 gatherings under the name of Floating. As we have no current affiliation to that organization we won’t share those graphics here, but held so many incredible concerts with Laraaji, IASOS, Angel Bat Dawid, rented a whale watching boat, held music at the Hollyhock House & in front of Vasquez Rocks, and are grateful for that chapter in our lives.
Before that, we were organizing all over the country from our respective homes and within our overlapping communities. Whether tenants rights, queer liberation, advocating for our unhoused neighbors, or educating on the overlap of native ecology and the dispossession of Indigenous land as essential to the carceral state, it’s in our blood.
