Founded in opposition to overdevelopment and the expansion of the 710 Freeway, Arlington Garden is Pasadena’s only dedicated public garden and in 19 years has grown to become a three-acre urban wildlife habitat for Pasadena’s native flora & fauna, an outdoor classroom, and host to the only remaining orange grove along the historic Orange Grove Blvd!
It’s an honor to gather at Arlington on the 2nd Sunday of every month, underneath the wisteria and olive trees. This afternoon we’re grateful to share the afternoon with Spencer Zahn who is coming through to share fluid and expansive realms of improvisation for keyboard amidst this stunning community habitat.
The music of multi-instrumentalist Spencer Zahn is marked by openness: spacious sonic landscapes, rich with contributions from his creative community. Born in Massachusetts, with a long residency in New York, Spencer is now LA Based and a frequent collaborator among many friends including Dave Harrington, Nicole McCabe, Dawn Richard, and more!
