In an era of uncertainty and change, California native plants can help to show us a way forward. At the turn of the season, we’re so excited to be back among the abundant habitats of the California Botanic Garden for their first ever & hopefully perennial Native Plant Festival!
Explore, learn, and connect with your local bioregion during this free day long festival hosted by the largest native plant garden in California! Join us in learning about the beauty, variety, and resiliency of our state’s native ecosystems, alongside discussions, workshops, and live performances. It’s what dreams are made of!
With so much going on, you can look for our Living Earth stage in the cultivar garden, underneath a great oak tree, alongside a fountain, and hopefully surrounded by butterflies hopping from pollinator to pollinator. Soundtracking the perfect day are some of our nearest & dearest: Mutual Benefit, Nighttime, Sonoda, and Barry Archie Johnson, with environmental music selections shared throughout the day from Noah the Naturalist.
Entry is free, and there is space held for walkups, but please RSVP in advance as the day will reach capacity. While you’re in Claremont, we also encourage you to check out some of our favorite local spots like the Folk Music Center!
Our schedule for the day:
10a: Environmental Music in the Cultivar Garden
11a: Nighttime
12p: Sonoda
1p: Mutual Benefit
2: Barry Archie Johnson
