To echo our friend and hero Rosten Woo, A PARK IS MADE FOR BY PEOPLE! Throughout Los Angeles, our green spaces reflect the values and the determinations of our communities, and together, we cultivate these spaces of respite against the domination of industrialization and development. A watershed example of this ethos and fight is LA State Historic Park, nestled just between Chinatown and the LA River.

As friends, we’ve loved and supported Listen To Music since day one at La Tierra de la Culebra Park. When the series needed a larger home in the summer of 2022 we went all in to not only help relocate to Elysian Park but to also transform this beloved gathering into a solar powered concert series. Now as we tread into 2025, we’re experimenting with what comes next, and it’s time to plant new seeds to see what grows. Every Thursday in April pull up to the LA River Farmers’ Market for your weekly box of community supported Listen To Music Outside In The Daylight And Eat Some Fruit. Big blessings to LA State Historic Park & the LA River Farmers’ Market for receiving us with such warmth, generosity, and care! We’re so psyched to see what fruits grow from this.

Sharing sounds this week are Carlos Niño, Matthewdavid, Aaron Shaw, Cole Pulice, and The Growth Eternal.

It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for Listening To Music Outside In The Daylight 🌞
