Carlos Niño & Friends in Elysian Park (February 8, 2025)
Update: We’ve reached capacity and won’t be able to accommodate any walkups. Thank you for your support and understanding! If you’re not able to join us, Saul and Carlos have announced two dates at Blue Note in April & we’re announcing two more gatherings with Carlos Niño & Friends very soon.
Sit with us underneath a grove of olive trees this Sunday afternoon for a performance with Carlos Niño & Friends featuring Saul Williams, Maia, Nate Mercereau, Aaron Shaw, Andres Renteria, Annelise Niño, Leon Mobley, and Francesca Heart. Andrea Jimenez of Herb Club LA will also brew tea for this evening!
It’s been one year to the day since our Fire Aid Fundraiser with Leaving Records, where we held 24 incredible solar powered performances in just under 5 hours, and setting the tone for the day was an invocation by this very ensemble of friends (with this weekend’s addition of Francesca). We recorded that performance with Mobius Acoustics, it’s out now with Leaving, and before both Saul and Francesca leave Los Angeles we’d like to gather one more time to share breath, gratitude for collective resilience, and support a meaningful community-led garden that’s devoted hundreds of hours to post-fire recovery initiatives ranging from soil remediation workshops to actionable working groups to being a community distribution site for many immediate needs. We’ll have select Leaving Records titles available among Arlington Garden’s volunteer made marmalade, ecology zines, native plant block prints, and handmade goods from West Bank to support our friends and families in Palestine.
This is an intimate gathering. Out of respect for the garden please rsvp with us in advance, you’ll receive the location via email, and a third of ticket sales go back towards supporting the incredible work of this hard fought public green space.
