We’ll see you this Earth Day with our dear friend the Wisdom Tree 🌳
Take a hike with ecological artist Paige Emery & naturalist Noah Klein to share stories of our plantcestors and histories of this iconic trails. This is a hike for honoring the Earth & offering not only our attention but our gratitude for the natural spaces that we can find within the overdevelopment of Los Angeles.
Once we’ve reached the peak, Paige will guide us in tea ceremony, and following, we’ll continue to sip from the Earth while we journal, draw, write ecopoetry, and listen to flute during the sunset. Feel encouraged to bring an offering for the Wisdom Tree (a flower or a stone), a notebook & we’ll have pens and colored pencils available as well! There’s heart stirrings for making a Wisdom Tree zine, so if you feel comfortable sharing your poem or illustration made during the evening, we’d love to include your voice in the archive.
We will be staying to watch the sunset, so please bring a flashlight, a sweater, water, and anything that you need to feel comfortable. We’ll meet at the Wonder View Trailhead & leave promptly at 6:15p. If you’re running late feel free to just meet us up top. This is a challenging and strenuous 2mi roundtrip hike with a steep uphill incline. We know you can do this, but please dress appropriately and be ready to feel it.
